WE ARE ONE OF THE LARGEST
PLASTIC CLOSURES COMPANIES IN SOUTH AMERICA.
In 1996, in a manufacturing unit for the injection of plastic beverage caps for the Brazilian market, Crown Cork Plastic Caps was born. The plastic caps production company was part of the Group of Companies of a Joint Venture between Évora, a Brazilian holding company, and Crown Cork & Seal, a North American industrial group active in the production of plastic and metal packaging.
In 2010, the Holding Évora SA acquired the equity interest of its partner, Crown Holdings and became the sole parent company of Crown Tampas. They turned the company’s focus to the plastic closure business and had the strategic objective to grow, not only in Brazil but also in South America, including countries like Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, and Bolivia. In December 2010, CROWN Tampas, a company synonymous with quality and technology in the plastic closure industry for over 15 years, assumed its new identity, AMERICA TAMPAS. Since then, the company has worked to establish Global positioning with a focus on the South American market through technological support from GCS.
